The lineup for Bellator’s return to New England continues to build with the addition of four new preliminary-card fights. Tim Caron (9-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) will take on Reginaldo Felix (5-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at middleweight; Blair Tugman (11-7 MMA, 5-3 BMMA) meets Peter Barrett (9-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a lightweight fight; Nicholas Giulietti (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) makes his pro debut against Alex Ortiz (1-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at lightweight; and Lisa Blaine (2-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) takes on the debuting Alexandra Ballou (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a women’s flyweight fight. Two titles were on the line at CES MMA 51 on Friday night, and one of the bouts featured a significant upset. In the main event, Nate Andrews (14-1) had little trouble against D’Juan Owens (16-13-1) and choked him unconscious with a triangle just 94 seconds into their fight. Andrews defended his welterweight title for the first time in the process.

Koreshkov (20-2 MMA, 11-2 BMMA) stepped back in the cage after losing the Bellator welterweight title in his previous bout when he earned a first-round TKO of Njokuani (17-5 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) in the Spike-televised contest. In the main event, former champ Andrey Koreshkov (20-2 MMA, 11-2 BMMA) took out Chidi Njokuani (17-5 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) in the first round in his first fight since losing the title to Douglas Lima. But was it enough to jump the line over a name like Rory MacDonald? In the co-main event, Fernando Gonzalez (27-14 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) shocked Brennan Ward (14-6 MMA, 9-6 BMMA) with a perfectly timed guillotine choke in the third round, taking him to 7-1 in the promotion with just a split-decision loss to Michael Page as a blemish on his Bellator resume

Former welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov made relatively easy work of Anthony Njokuani in the Bellator 182 main event and put himself on a path back to title contention. Koreshkov (20-2 MMA, 11-2 BMMA) stopped Njokuani (17-5 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) with a heavy dose of ground-and-pound and got the finish at the 4:08 mark of the first round.
