Despite all the speculation surrounding his retirement , Jon Jones has made a shock proposal for his potential next fight. UFC 309 is right around the corner and many believe it could be the last time ‘Bones’ ever steps into the octagon. Stipe Miocic —whose retirement is also imminent—is considered a legacy fight for the heavyweight champion and is seen as the perfect way for Jones to bow out of the sport. Jon Jones seemed all but set to lay down the gloves win, lose, or draw on November 16, but that may no longer be the case. Though, even with the backlash he has received, Jones is still uninterested in the Tom Aspinall matchup.

The BMF (Baddest Motherf**cker) belt originated to promotion a fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz at UFC 244 in November 2019. Masvidal won the symbolic belt by doctor stoppage. This weekend, the belt will be on the line a second time and for Gaethje it’s about legacy. “It’s complete separate from the actual championship. It’s really iconic,” Gaethje told TMZ Sports .

Jorge Masvidal willing to put ‘BMF Belt’ on the line again

To build a fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244, the fight promotion created a “BMF” title to crown the ‘baddest motherf**ker.’ Masvidal took home the title and the one-off belt due to doctor stopped and that was expected to be it for the ‘BMF’ belt. During the UFC 287 Pre-Fight Press Conference on Thursday, Masvidal said that he’d put the belt on the line, but wanted to string together some wins first. “For starters, I’ll say that there are many BMFs.
