The final episodes of Dana White’s Contender Series, Season 6 are filling up. DWCS 54, the eight week of the season, has added a bantamweight bout between “Let’s Go” Brandon Lewis (6-1) and Peru’s Daniel Marcos (12-0). Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. The appearance will mark the second for Lewis on DWCS.

LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Tuesday’s Dana White’s Contender Series 39 , where another five fighters were awarded UFC deals. Dana White’s Contender Series cards see prospects fighting for the opportunity to sign a UFC deal, with UFC president Dana White on hand to make the decisions. In the featured bout, Brazilian light heavyweight Jailton Almeida (14-2) extended his current winning streak to eight fights after submitting previously undefeated Russian prospect Nasrudin Nasrudinov (9-1). LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Monday’s official Dana White’s Contender Series 39 fighter weigh-ins, where all 12 fighters made weight without issue. Dana White’s Contender Series cards see prospects fighting for the opportunity to sign a UFC deal, with UFC president Dana White on hand to make the decisions. While there are normally five bouts each week, Dana White’s Contender Series 39 is currently slated to have six contests. LFA 102 results: Souza outworks Johns, Gregory Rodrigues reaches tourney final

Bruno Souza continued to climb in the featherweight division and Gregory Rodrigues made a statement to reach the middleweight tournament final at the top of LFA’s latest card Friday. At LFA 102 at Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in Shawnee, Okla., Souza outworked Elijah Johns with a split decision in the headliner. And in the co-main event, Rodrigues picked up a brutal knockout of Al Matavao in the 185-pound tournament semifinals to reach the final against Josh Fremd.

Friday’s LFA 16 card in Dallas has a new main event. History was supposed to take place at the event with the first title defense since the promotion debuted in January. But women’s flyweight champion Andrea Lee (7-2) won’t defend against challenger Davina Maciel (6-1). Lee posted on her Instagram account that visa issues for Maciel are the culprit keeping the Brazilian from traveling to the States for the title fight, and LFA officials confirmed as much when announcing the event’s new headliner between bantamweights Johnny Bedford (23-12-1) and Jimmy Flick (8-3). LFA 16 takes place Friday at The Bomb Factory in Dallas. The main card airs live on AXS TV
