Bruno Assis is the new Titan FC middleweight champion. The Brazilian won the promotion’s 185-pound title, defeating Shane O’Shea in the main event of Friday’s Titan FC 70 card in Miami, Fla. Assis (11-5) submitted O’Shea (4-2) with a triangle choke at the 2:22 mark of round 1. Assis, who trains out of American Top Team, had to face adversity before taking home the belt

Andre Muniz (17-4) improved to 11-1 in his past 12 appearances, using a grappling heavy attack to take home a clearcut decision win over Bruno Assis (8-3), though he didn’t score a UFC deal in the process. The bout served as the featured contest of Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil 2, which took place earlier this month at The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas and aired today in Brazil via tape delay. The card will later be archived on UFC Fight Pass

Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil lineups revealed

The lineups for the first three Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil events have been revealed, and a few fighters with UFC experience are on the slate. Combate today announced the lineups for three events, which were taped at The Ultimate Fighter gym in Las Vegas and will debut in Brazil on Combate before they stream in English on UFC Fight Pass, as well. Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil 1 debuts this Friday. Undefeated bantamweight prospects Mayra Bueno (4-0) and Mayana Kellem (7-0) face off in the featured contest
