Jumabieke Tuerxun at UFC Fight Night 55 Jumabieke Tuerxun and Marcus Brimage Despite an opponent switch and being shuffled from a fight card in Mexico to one in Australia, Marcus Brimage (7-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) scored what was arguably the most impressive victory of his career when he knocked out Jumabieke Tuerxun (14-3 MMA, 0-3 UFC) with a head kick. Tuerxun attempted to duck a strike in the first round, but instead, he put his face right into an incoming roundhouse kick and was out cold upon impact.

Filed under: Cage Warriors , Featured Videos , News , Videos Fabricio Werdum capped off Saturday’s big slate of MMA events with a knockout via knee in UFC 180′s headliner, but earlier in the day, Joseph Duffy scored one of his own. Check out the video from Cage Warriors 74, where Duffy (12-1), the last man to defeat UFC contender Conor McGregor, made short work of lightweight Julien Boussuge (12-4). The co-headliner, which streamed on MMAjunkie from Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic Park, lasted just 36 seconds as Duffy awaited and capitalized on his opening. Check out the video above for Duffy’s win (and also check out a nasty arm break that occurred earlier on the card).

Cage Warriors 74 results: Nicolas Dalby, Pannie Kianzad claim title victories

Nicolas Dalby took some damage in the first round before rebounding over the next four and defeating Mohsen Bahari to defend his Cage Warriors welterweight title. The title fight headlined today’s Cage Warriors 74 event at Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic Park.

Filed under: Cage Warriors , Featured , Featured Videos , News , Videos Today’s Cage Warriors 74 event saw a gruesome injury early on the card when Nathaniel Wood snapped Steve McCombe ‘s arm with a high kick. Check out the video of the break above (warning: it’s a bit graphic). The 140-pound catchweight fight, which streamed on MMAjunkie, took place at Copper Box Arena in London and was part of the first of two main cards. Wood (6-1) connected on a high kick midway through the opening round, and the bout initially continued. But as McCombe (20-24-1) fell on his back and flailed his broken limb, something was clearly wrong

Cage Warriors 74 weigh-in results: Two title fights official in London

The weigh-ins are in the books for Saturday’s Cage Warriors 74 event in London, and all but one fighter is on target for the card. Cage Warriors 74 features a pair of title fights. For the welterweight belt, champion Nicolas Dalby was 169.4 pounds for his fight against challenger Mohsen Bahari, who also weighed in at 169.4. And for the inaugural women’s bantamweight title, Pannie Kianzad was 134.8 for her championship bout against Eeva Siiskonen, who was 134.3. James Hurrell was the lone fighter to miss weight on his first attempt, and he was given two hours to make the light heavyweight limit for his fight against Carl Kinslow.

Philip Mulpeter out at Cage Warriors 74, Tom Breese meets Thibaud Larchet

Saturday’s Cage Warriors 74 event in London has had a lineup change just a few days before the fight. Ireland’s Philip Mulpeter (7-4) has been forced out of his welterweight fight against Tom Breese (6-0) due to a cut above his left eye. Stepping in for Mulpeter will be promotional newcomer Thibaud Larchet (6-1) on short notice. Cage Warriors officials announced the new contest on Thursday morning. Cage Warriors 74 takes place at Copper Box Arena in London’s Olympic Park. Once again, the event will feature a pair of main cards, both of which will stream live on MMAjunkie

Eeva Siiskonen replaces Agnieszka Niedzwiedz in Saturday’s Cage Warriors 74 title fight

Finnish 135-pounder Eeva Siiskonen (3-1) has replaced injured Agnieszka Niedzwiedz (7-0) and will meet Pannie Kianzad (6-0) on Saturday at Cage Warriors 74 to determine the organization’s inaugural women’s bantamweight title. Officials announced the change over the weekend.
