Rafael Carvalho matched the record for most successful Bellator middleweight title defenses on Saturday when he delivered a vicious knockout to Alessio Sakara in the Bellator 190 main event. Bellator 190 took place at Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence, Italy, and aired on Spike via tape-delay. Carvalho (15-1 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) disappointed the local fans when he handed Italy’s own Sakara (19-12 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) the knockout loss just 44 seconds into Round 1.
