LFA 62 results: Casey Kenney claims second title belt in violent fashion

Casey Kenney made LFA history, and he did it in emphatic fashion, violently claiming an interim bantamweight title to go along with his interim flyweight belt, as well. Kenney (11-1-1) earned a first-round knockout over a previously undefeated Vince Cachero (6-1) in the main event of tonight’s LFA 62 event, which aired on AXS TV from The Bomb Factory in Dallas. Kenney was aggressive to start, firing punches and kicks from all angles in a fast-paced open. Cachero was happy to fire back, but it was clear Kenney was getting the best of the exchanges.

LFA crowned two new champions at Friday’s LFA 32 event – one who scored a comeback to do it. Highlights for the event, which aired on AXS TV from Golden Nugget Lake Charles in Lake Charles, La., are available below. They include the headliner, in which Anthony Hernandez (6-0) claimed the vacant lightweight belt with a fairly one-sided unanimous-decision victory over Brendan Allen (8-3), who faded late in the fight. In addition to the 155-pound title, Hernandez also received his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt

Tim Means headlines Legacy FC 27 vs. Artenas Young, Henry Cejudo also on card

After a knockout win in his Legacy Fighting Championship debut earlier this fall, Tim Means will return next month to headline Legacy FC 27. Means (19-5-1) will top the card against Aretenas Young (10-6) in a welterweight bout at Legacy FC 27, Legacy FC President Mick Maynard on Monday confirmed to MMAjunkie. Former UFC and Strikeforce heavyweight title challenger Paul Buentello (33-15) had been penciled in against Isaac Villanueva (7-7), but that fight appears to be on hold for the time being. Legacy FC 27 takes place Jan. 31 at Houston’s Arena Theatre
