Nah-Shon Burrell Nah-Shon Burrell has the unique experience of five combined fights with Bellator MMA and the UFC over a two-year stretch. Unfortunately, he’s no longer a member of either organization. Burrell (11-5), who also fought four times for Strikeforce, is a now signed with CFFC, where he’s set to challenge champ Lyman Good (17-3) for the welterweight title at CFFC 48 on Saturday

Lyman Good The upper tier of the MMA landscape gets a little more crowded this weekend when CFFC makes the leap to national exposure with its first event on CBS Sports Network. CFFC held its first shows from 2006-2007 before a four-year hiatus. It returned in 2011 and now hosts near-monthly shows primarily in New Jersey and other Northeast locales. It’s featured many notables over the years, including Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, Jim Miller, John Howard, Dan Miller, Frank Shamrock, Evan Tanner, Paul Felder, Charlie Brenneman and others. The organization will start a new chapter in its history on Saturday. CFFC 48 takes place at Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa and is the first of multiple events set to air on CBS Sports Network this year

CFFC officials today announced they’ve signed a deal with CBS Sports Network, and the organization will makes it cable-TV debut on May 14. “Since Day One, CFFC has been very systematic in our approach to build a brand that centered around its athletes,” CFFC CEO Rob Haydak Jr. stated. “This national television agreement provides additional exposure to further showcase one of the best MMA rosters in the sport.” “This is a game-changer for us,” stated CFFC President Mike Constantino, who also manages and trains a number of fighters with his AMA Fight Club
