LAS VEGAS – Fighters from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 201 event took home UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay totaling $140,000. The program, a comprehensive plan that includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct, replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy. UFC Fight Night 201 took place at the UFC Apex. The entire card streamed on ESPN+.

The card ended in spectacular fashion, with Jamahal Hill (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) turning in an early “Knockout of the Year” contender in the main event when he flattened Johnny Walker (18-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) in the opening round of their light heavyweight matchup.

It came as a revelation to most viewers when Chas Skelly was walking to the octagon at UFC Fight Night 201 that it could be his final fight. UFC commentator Jon Anik revealed the note as Skelly (19-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) was set to compete against Mark Striegl (18-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) on Saturday’s card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, but is he really done? Skelly scored a second-round TKO of Striegl in the featherweight bout, using an inside elbow, then a knee to inflict damage, score a knockdown and finish the fight with ground-and-pound. After the fight, Skelly was asked by Paul Felder if it was 100 percent his final bout.

It appears Chas Skelly will be making the walk to the cage for the final time in February. Skelly (18-3-1 MMA, 7-3-1 UFC) takes on Mark Striegl (18-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 19, expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Both fighters confirmed the news on social media, where 36-year-old Skelly announced it will be his last fight.
