UFC staff is making the most out of April Fools. The employees of the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas put together a master plan to scare fighters and other UFC staff as they enter the building. The prank consisted of replacing a mannequin in the lobby of the building with a person dressed head to toe just in a one-piece bodysuit and a UFC fight kit. The prankster stood still in the same pose as the real mannequin and waited for the victims to walk in. Among the fighters who fell to the prank were Cody Garbrandt , Forrest Griffin , Claudia Gadelha , Jessica Andrade , and more. Some were startled, while others like Donald Cerrone had a completely different reaction.

Weili holds the belt, but Beijing’s Yan Xiaonan announced herself as a serious contender at 115 pounds Saturday night with her biggest win to date. Xiaonan (12-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) rallied over the final two rounds to earn a unanimous decision over former title challenger Claudia Gadelha in the main-card opener of UFC on ESPN+ 40. The judges’ scores at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas were 29-28 across the board. The victory gave Xiaonan her 11th straight win overall and sixth in the UFC, which is the longest active streak in her division.
