In the featured bout of the Spike-televised event at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., Benson Henderson (24-6 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) got the victory and earned a title shot after Patricio Freire (25-4 MMA, 13-4 BMMA), who was winning the fight, injured his leg during a kick. However, the rest of the main card delivered some action. Featherweight Georgi Karakhanyan (25-6-1 MMA, 4-4 BMMA), for example, caught a kick and unloaded a brutal knockout punch on Bubba Jenkins (11-3 MMA, 8-3 BMMA) just 53 seconds into the fight. The former WSOF champ is now 2-0 over Jenkins, whose only two losses in his past nine fights have come to Karakhanyan. Elsewhere on the card, Derek Anderson (14-2 MMA, 4-2 BMMA) topped Saad Awad (19-8 MMA, 7-5 BMMA) in an action-packed lightweight belt, and undefeated featherweight prospect A.J.

Legacy FC officials recently announced the matchup and that the event will take place June 24 at The Bomb Factory in Dallas. Ramos (8-0), a 20-year-old Brazilian standout, continued the undefeated start to his career after using a crafty submission to tap out fellow featherweight Cody Walker (5-3) at Friday’s Legacy FC 46 event, which aired on AXS TV from Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. Check out the finish, which is further propelling Ramos toward his dream of fighting in the UFC , above. The highlights also include Steven Peterson (13-4), who emerged victorious in an entertaining headliner with bantamweight Irwin Rivera (4-1). Legacy FC 46 results: Steven Peterson takes hard-fought decision over Irwin Rivera

Legacy FC 46 poster Steven Peterson and Irwin Rivera battled it out in the Legacy FC 46 bantamweight main event, bloodying each other early and continuing to bang away on the feet for much of the bout. In the end, Peterson was a bit too much for his game opponent. The shorter Rivera (4-0) attempted to pick his spots to explode in and crack Peterson (12-4) with looping punches, one of which got the blood flowing from a cut. Peterson had no intention of backing off and put Rivera on his back and used elbows to return the favor, leaving both men with cuts by the end of Round 1.
