And that business had a lot to do with smashing up McDermott’s face, leaving him a bloody mess in the Bellator 173 light heavyweight main event on Friday in front of a friendly crowd in Northern Ireland. McGeary (12-1 MMA, 9-1 BMMA) survived a quick knockdown by McDermott (7-5 MMA, 0-1 BMMA), then got a TKO when the doctor stopped the fight 66 seconds into the second round. Bellator 173 took place Friday at SSE Arena Belfast in Northern Ireland.
