At this point in his career, Cosmo Alexandre is looking for security. Alexandre (8-1), who recently had a contract dispute with ONE Championship, has re-signed with the promotion with the help of his new manager, Ali Abdelaziz. The 38-year-old hasn’t competed since his 29-second knockout over Sage Northcutt in May 2019, putting a momentary halt to his momentum. He reportedly was unhappy with his contract and asked ONE Championship to either increase his pay or release him . But after coming to terms with ONE Championship and signing a new six-fight deal, Alexandre plans on getting back to action soon

ONE Championship 96 video highlights: Beauty and brutality in Singapore

The night’s main event saw 20-year-old Christian Lee (12-3) survive some early trouble and battle back to stop MMA legend Shinya Aoki (43-9) to claim the promotion’s lightweight title and join his sister, Angela Lee, as a ONE titleholder. Additionally, kickboxing specialist Cosmo Alexandre (8-1) gave Sage Northcutt (11-3) a brutal welcome to the promotion , leveling “Super” Sage with a one-punch knockout . ‘ONE Championship 96: Enter the Dragon’ results: Lee stops Aoki, Northcutt knocked cold

At just 20 years old, Christian Lee (12-3) is a world champion after scoring a TKO stoppage over MMA legend Shinya Aoki (43-9). The contest served as the main event of Friday’s “ONE Championship 96: Enter the Dragon” event, which took place at Singapore Indoor Stadium. At the start of the contest, Aoki wasted no time in wrapping the body and looking to bring the action to the canvas. An initial effort saw Lee briefly grab the ropes to stay upright, but a second effort did secure the takedown, with Aoki taking top position. Lee wisely scrambled underneath, staying safe and working back to his feet, but Aoki refused to give any space at all. As a frustrated Lee tried to work free, the action went back to the floor, with Aoki in mount.
