Guan Wang will be looking to extend the 11-0-1 record that marks him as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in China, when he takes on Brazilian Sandro Da Silva (3-2). Their rematch will headline RUFF 10 on Aug. 24 in Shanghai. The event, which is set for the Hongkou Indoor Stadium, also sees the return of Zhang Meixuan and Rodrigo Caporal, who, like Wang, were crowned inaugural RUFF superfight champions in February. Meixuan (5-1) won the flyweight strap and will be returning to action to take on Ya Fei (1-1). Lightweight title winner Rodrigo Caporal (9-4) has won five fights out of five for RUFF and will be looking to continue this winning streak when he goes up against Russian wrestler Rasul Khairulaev (1-0).

Teixeira vs. Bader and Jacare vs. Okami Reported for UFC on Fox Sports 1 #3

UFC on Fox Sports 1 #3 has yet to be officially announced by promotion officials, but a report from Brazilian website Portal do Vale Tudo says it is a go and revealed two more bouts for the event. UFC officials have long targeted Sept. 4 for a Fox Sports 1 event in Brazil. The original plan was for Porto Alegre to host the event, but PVT reports the UFC will instead return to Belo Horizonte for the event. A bout between Joseph Benavidez and Jussier “Formiga” da Silva has already been rumored for Sept. 4, but the two new bouts include Glover Teixeira vs. Ryan Bader in a light heavyweight tilt and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs.

Report: Jussier Formiga vs. Joseph Benavidez Agreed for UFC Fox Sports 1 Event in Brazil

A battle between top flyweights Jussier “Formiga” da Silva and Joseph Benavidez has been agreed to for the as yet unannounced UFC on Fox Sports 1 #3 event planned for September in Brazil. Brazilian website Globo.com first reported the bout. One of the most highly touted fighters entering the UFC’s 125-pound division, Formiga (15-2) fell short in his promotional debut, losing by TKO to John Dodson. He bounced back in may of this year, winning a unanimous decision over Chris Cariaso at UFC on FX 8 in Brazil. Benavidez (18-3) was part of the UFC’s four-man flyweight championship tournament, defeating Yasuhiro Urushitani in the opening round, but losing to Johnson in the final.
