Dustin Poirier is set to make the walk to the UFC’s hallowed octagon for the final time at UFC 318 this Saturday in front of a home crowd at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. “The Diamond” is certainly leaving an incredible legacy behind, according to fellow pro fighters, teammates, and colleagues. Poirier challenges Max Holloway for the BMF title in the main event of this weekend’s pay-per-view event.

Ex-Turner executive John Martin takes over as PFL CEO

The PFL has a new chief executive officer. On Thursday, the PFL announced that John Martin would be taking over as CEO after Peter Murray previously served in that role with the fight promotion. There’s no word on why Murray is out, but Martin takes over after an extensive career working in broadcast television.

Taila Santos not surprised to see Dakota Ditcheva out of 2025 PFL tournament, still wants rematch

Taila Santos wants a rematch with Dakota Ditcheva , but she wasn’t holding her breath on meeting her once again in a PFL tournament. Santos (22-4) and Ditcheva (14-0) were the two finalists for last year’s PFL women’s flyweight tournament. It was a big fight for the promotion, as it pitted a former UFC title challenger against one of the best undefeated talents today

PFL announces 2025 women’s flyweight tournament roster – but no Dakota Ditcheva

The 2025 PFL women’s flyweight tournament will feature eight fighters – but Dakota Ditcheva is not one of them. Tuesday, the promotion announced the roster will include former Bellator women’s flyweight champions Liz Carmouche (22-8) and Juliana Velasquez (13-3), and former UFC title challenger Taila Santos (22-4) as well as Bellator alumni Kana Watanabe (13-3-1), Ilara Joanne (12-9), Jena Bishop (7-2), and Diana Avsaragova (6-1). Additionally, the promotion has signed Jungle Fight champion Elora Dana (7-0), who will make her promotional debut in the tournament. The women’s flyweight tournament will be single elimination with $1 million going to the winning fighter. It kicks off April 11 at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., and airs on ESPN2/ESPN+.
