At RFA 15 in June, the MMA world was given a rare opportunity courtesy of Daniel Aguiar . Aguiar (10-4) continually dropped to the ground, hoping Sam Toomer (8-0) would want to play there instead of on the feet. Referee Mike Beltran ruled Aguiar’s tactic as “timidity” and gave Toomer a disqualification victory. The fight took place on the main card at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City, Calif., and aired on AXS TV. In the wake of that, Aguiar spoke to MMAjunkie about what went down in the fight, and what happens for him now. His version is much different than mere timidity

RFA 15 fight card finalized, Kevin Casey vs. Andrew Sanchez for middleweight belt

The fight card is set for next month’s RFA 15 event, which features a championship headliner. The organization recently announced Kevin Casey (7-3) and Andrew Sanchez (5-1) will fight for the organization’s vacant middleweight title. RFA 15 takes place June 6 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City. The main card airs on AXS TV. Casey (7-3) fights for the third time under the RFA banner.

RFA 14 results: Matt Manzanares wins flyweight belt with split vs. Maranhao

In a fight that likely should’ve been stopped after four rounds, Matt Manzanares needed to go the full five to win RFA’s flyweight title against Junior Maranhao. Manzanares took a split decision in the main event of RFA 14 on Friday. But there will be conversations now about whether Maranhao should have been allowed to continue into the fifth after apparently fainting on his stool after the fourth.

RFA 14 main card set with addition of Jouban-Montoya, Aguiar-Toner

The main card for RFA’s next event is complete with a title fight and a pair of title-eliminators. In addition, promotion officials recently confirmed two new bouts to MMAjunkie. RFA 14 takes place April 11 at the City of Cheyenne Ice and Events Center in Wyoming and marks the organization’s debut in the state. The main card airs live on AXS TV. In the headliner, Wyoming’s Matt Manzanares (6-2) meets Leandro Higo for the organization’s vacant flyweight title. In the co-headliner, Mark Dickman (8-1) meets Raoni Barcelos in a featherweight title eliminator.
