Henry Corrales vs. Keith Lee among three additions to Bellator 258

The bantamweight theme continues for Bellator 258. Like the first three additions to the May 7 card, the fourth is also a fight between two of the promotion’s 135-pound notables. Henry Corrales and Keith Lee are set to square off at the event, which takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Johnny Eblen vs. Daniel Madrid (18-6 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) at middleweight, and Weber Almeida (4-0 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) vs. Johnny Soto (3-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at featherweight, also have been added to the preliminary card.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Daniel Madrid was in no doubt that he had done enough to win his fight at Bellator 246, even though the judges were split on the verdict. Madrid (18-6 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) earned a split-decision victory over Pat Casey (6-3 MMA, 2-2 BMMA) in their middleweight preliminary card bout at Mohegan Sun Arena, but the debuting “Demigod” said he knew he’d done more than enough when he was waiting for the verdict. “I wasn’t nervous. I was a little confused, because one gave it 29-28, then the other gave it 30-27 on the second one and it kinda threw me,” he told reporters, including MMA Junkie, after his victory.

On the second leg of the two-night doubleheader, middleweights Austin Vanderford and Daniel Madrid will square off at Bellator 246. Multiple people with knowledge of the situation informed MMA Junkie of the booking on Wednesday but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Vanderford (9-0 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) has not fought since November but has kept himself busy competing in grappling matches.
