Friday’s LFA 8 main-card opener showed us why. In an AXS TV-televised bout at TD Convention Center in Greenville, S.C., Alexa Conners (2-1) picked up a unanimous-decision victory over Calie Cutler (5-4). Although Conners entered the catchweight fight with far less experience than her opponent, it was Cutler who made a rookie mistake; in the second frame, she confused the 10-second warning for the actual end of the round

After starting his career at a very pedestrian 5-4, flyweight Cee Jay Hamilton (11-4) now owns a six-fight winning streak after downing Jesse Bazzi (6-2) in a three-round affair. The bout served as the main event of LFA 8, which aired on AXS TV from TD Convention Center in Greenville, S.C. Both men were cautious to open, picking their shots as they moved around in the cage in search of openings. As time wore on, Hamilton began to turn up the pressure, darting in and out of range while looking to avoid Bazzi’s counters

‘TUF 19′ runner-up Dhiego Lima headlines Legacy FC 53 in Atlanta

Dhiego Lima Former UFC fighter and “The Ultimate Fighter 19” runner-up Dhiego Lima will headline Legacy FC 53 in April. In his first post-UFC bout, Lima (10-4) takes on fellow welterweight Ben Brewer (11-4). Legacy FC owner/promoter Mick Maynard recently sent the fight card and event details to MMAjunkie. Legacy FC 53 takes place April 8 at Center Stage Atlanta in Georgia. The main card airs on AXS TV.

Clay Harvison vs. Jordan Rinaldi headlines Legacy FC 47 in Atlanta

Jordan Rinaldi The main card is set for October’s Legacy FC 47 event, which is just the second Georgia show in the Texas-based promotion’s history. Legacy FC owner Mick Maynard today confirmed the plans with MMAjunkie. Legacy FC 47 takes place Oct. 16 at Center Stage Atlanta in Georgia. The main card airs on AXS TV. The lightweight headliner features a pair of big-show vets as Clay Harvison (13-5) takes on Jordan Rinaldi (9-4).

Legacy FC 40 results: Cody East retains heavyweight title with secound-round TKO

Cody East There was a big bump in the road that could have cost him his title, but perseverance helped Cody East retain his heavyweight belt on Friday. East (10-1) was knocked down in the first round by Brice Ritani-Coe (4-3), who took the Legacy FC 40 main event title fight on less than two weeks’ notice. But he survived and went on to pick up a second-round TKO. Legacy FC 40 took place at Wild Bills in Atlanta. The main card aired on AXS TV
