BKFC 47 heads to Florida with middleweight championship main event

BKFC is headed back to Florida and it’s bringing another title fight with it. BKFC 47 takes place July 14 at a venue to be named in Lakeland, Fla., the promotion recently announced. The card will stream on FITE . In the main event, middleweight champion David Mundell (6-1) looks to defend his title against former Bellator standout Mike Richman (5-1), who will drop down to the 175-pound weight class from light heavyweight (190 pounds). Mundell, 31, accumulated a 10-5 professional MMA record prior to his transition into bareknuckle boxing during the early days of BKFC. He won the BKFC middleweight title in December when he defeated Francesco Ricchi by third-round TKO at BKFC 34 .

One of, if not the standalone, pound-for-pound best bareknuckle boxer has his next bout. Former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) title challenger Luis Palomino (7-0) will defend his BKFC lightweight title against Tom Shoaff (4-3) at BKFC 34, an event scheduled for Dec. 3 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., the promotion officially announced recently.

Hector Lombard managed to come off friendly and hostile at the same time during weigh-ins for Bare Knuckle FC 10. The former Bellator middleweight champion and UFC contender weighed in and faced off with opponent David Mundell on Friday ahead of their main event clash at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on Saturday night. Lombard wasted no time letting his opponent know he means business with a light shove. But in true “Lightning” style, he followed the show with a smile and handshake for his opponent, as seen in the video above.

Hector Lombard gets new BKFC 10 opponent after Joe Riggs drops out

Hector Lombard has a new opponent for the BKFC 10 main event after Joe Riggs had to drop out. In a Monday press release, the promotion announced a new Feb. 15 main event between Lombard, the former Bellator middleweight champion, and fellow Bellator veteran David Mundell . No reason for Riggs’ withdrawal or removal from the card was revealed.

Jackson (7-2) stopped Lima (12-5) with a first-round TKO to take the champ’s title in the Titan FC 42 main event, which took place at Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla. The event streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. But Lima disputed what he believed to be an early stoppage, and may have been within his rights to do so. Card fills in for WSOF 11, which heads to Daytona on July 5

The main card is set, and the prelims have taken shape for WSOF 11, which is set for Ocean Center in Daytona, Fla., on July 5. A promotion official confirmed the location to MMAjunkie, as well as the card’s final main-card bout and four fights for the prelims. On the four-fight main card, Pablo Alfonso (9-5) meets Cody Bollinger (15-2) in a featherweight bout.
