An extensive 13-bout preliminary card has been set for next month’s Bellator 206 event, and a handful of notable contests reside in prominent roles. Bellator officials recently announced the Bellator 206 prelims will include a catchweight fight with Adam Piccolotti (10-2 MMA, 6-2 BMMA) vs. James Terry (20-9 MMA, 4-3 BMMA), a women’s featherweight contest of Arlene Blencowe (10-7 MMA, 3-3 BMMA) vs. Amber Leibrock (3-1 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) and a featherweight matchup of Gaston Bolanos (3-1 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) vs. Ysidro Gutierrez (3-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA).

Tito Ortiz and Liam McGeary Bellator 142 headliners Liam McGeary and Tito Ortiz emerged from their fight with potentially long medical suspensions. After defending his title by submitting Ortiz (24-11 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) with a slick inverted-triangle choke , light-heavyweight champ McGeary (24-11 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) needs clearance from a doctor for a “medial lateral” leg strain, or he is benched for six months. Ortiz could face the same term for neck pain; in 2014, his Bellator debut was delayed by a fractured neck . MMAjunkie today obtained the list of medical suspensions from the California State Athletic Commission for this past Saturday’s “Bellator 142: Dynamite” event, which featured a hybrid MMA-kickboxing card

Bellator 142: Dynamite arena rendering With 20 total fights spread across a cage and a ring on one venue floor, the card now is complete for Bellator 142. Billed as “Bellator: Dynamite 1,” Bellator 142 features MMA fights, as well as Glory kickboxing matches, on one night. The preliminary card features 12 total fights, most featuring local up-and-coming Northern California fighters. Bellator 142 takes place Sept. 19 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The main card airs live on Spike following prelims that will stream on MMAjunkie
