The LFA cage headed to Sioux Falls, South Dakota Friday night for LFA 89 as a host of rising prospect secured impressive victories to raise their stock on their quest to catch the attention of the world’s top global promotions. In the night’s main event, Brant Moore Jr. (8-1) earned a unanimous decision victory over former “The Ultimate Fighter” graduate Joe Giannetti (9-3) to move one step closer to a shot at the LFA lightweight title currently held by Bryce Logan. Moore used his wresting and grappling skills to drag Giannetti to the mat, where he pressured with submission attempts and ground and pound. To his credit, Giannetti hung tough and took the bout all the way to the scorecards, but it was Moore’s night, as the Texas native claimed the decision win and extended his winning streak to six, with his last three coming under the LFA banner.

The event is set to take place Friday, March 20 at Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix and is headlined by a middleweight title fight between Impa Kasanganay and Daniel Madrid . The card will stream live on UFC Fight Pass. The promotion announced details Tuesday.

The contest served as the featured bout of Tuesday’s Dana White’s Contender Series event, which streamed live on ESPN+ from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, and Rowe’s contract was the only one issued on the night. Shahbazyan looked to press to start, though Rowe looked confident on the outside as he shifted from side to side. It was a tactical approach to start, but Shahbazyan was able to land clean first, sending his opponent to the floor with a few strikes to an off-balance for. Shahbazyan unleashed a barrage of strikes on the floor, but Rowe gutted his way back to the feet.
