Aldo defeated Chan Sung Jung by TKO stoppage in the fourth round at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, but he fractured his foot in the process. The fractured foot put Aldo on the sidelines with a 90-day medical suspension, but that wasn’t the only reason the champ needed medical attention following the fight. According to a report by UOL , Aldo went to a hospital in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, on Tuesday due to a kidney problem. Dr. Marcio Tannure, who heads the Medical Committee of the Brazilian Athletic Commission, told MMAFighting.com that Aldo was diagnosed with kidney stones. Aldo has already been released from the hospital, and is at home resting

The medical suspensions were issued by Dr. Marcio Tannure. Every fighter on the card received at least a mandatory 14-day suspension. Several fighters, including main event fighters Jose Aldo and Chan Sung Jung (aka the Korean Zombie), received much lengthier suspensions, pending medical clearance.
