This week, the UFC is heading back to home base at the UFC Apex for a top 15 heavyweight clash following the epic UFC 281 pay-per-view in New York. In addition to UFC Fight Night 215 , there are a number of MMA, boxing, and bareknuckle events taking place that feature familiar names that have competed under the UFC banner. These 20 veterans of the global MMA leader are competing in MMA and boxing this week from Nov. 16-20. Check out the names and details about their bouts below. Roosevelt Roberts, five others among most recent UFC departures

Six more fighters have parted ways with the UFC. Multiple people with knowledge of the situation recently informed MMA Junkie of the roster moves but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion hasn’t made an official announcement. The roster changes were first confirmed by MMA Fighting after the fighters were moved to the “former fighters” section of the UFC’s website. Check out the recent UFC departures below. The roster moves, unless explicitly noted, are not necessarily a “cut.” The UFC may have elected not to re-sign certain fighters who were at the end of their contracts.

A bantamweight matchup is the second addition to UFC 265 . Vince Morales (9-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) and Drako Rodriguez (7-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will square off on Aug. 7 at the pay-per-view event that doesn’t have an official location or venue at this time. Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking on Saturday but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an announcement. Morales will look to snap his first-career losing skid.

UFC Fight Night 185 weigh-in results: Four misses, one fight scrapped

LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC Fight Night 185 fighter weigh-ins, where four fighters missed weight, resulting in one canceled fight. The weigh-ins take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The same venue hosts Saturday’s card, which streams on ESPN+. Among those weighing in were Curtis Blaydes (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) and Derrick Lewis (24-7 MMA, 15-5 UFC), who meet in the heavyweight main event and made weight without issue. The same could not be said of the night’s co-main event, where Ketlen Vieira (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) weighed in at 138 pound for her bantamweight matchup with Yana Kunitskaya (13-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC). The Brazilian was fined 20 percent of her purse, but the bout will go on as scheduled.

Aiemann Zahabi announces removal from UFC Fight Night 183 due to COVID-19

Another fight has fallen off Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 183 card due to a fighter testing positive for COVID-19. This time, Canadian bantamweight Aiemann Zahabi tested positive for the virus in a pre-flight test before leaving for Las Vegas and is symptomatic. Zahabi announced the news in an Instagram video issued Thursday. According to a person close to the situation, Zahabi’s scheduled opponent Drako Rodriguez will no longer compete on the card due to the lack of time to find a new opponent. “It’s heartbreaking for me not to be there fight week in Vegas but thankfully my covid 19 symptoms haven’t been too bad so far,” Zahabi wrote in a caption along with the video.
