The UFC’s next trip to Brazil in a month has seen a change to its preliminary card lineup – again. Sam Sicilia (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has been forced out of a featherweight bout against Felipe Arantes (15-5-1 MMA, 2-1-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 28 and will be replaced by promotional newcomer Edimilson Souza (12-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC). The change was reported by Brazilian news outlet Globo , but has not yet been made official by the UFC. UFC Fight Night 28 takes place Sept. 4 at Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The six-fight main card airs on FOX Sports 1 as the third UFC event set for the new cable network.

RIO DE JANEIRO – If Glover Teixeira (21-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) plays his cards right, his next fight may earn him a shot at the UFC’s light heavyweight title. UFC exec Marshall Zelaznik revealed at Saturday night’s post-UFC 163 press conference in Rio de Janeiro that UFC President Dana White and matchmaker Joe Silva told him an impressive win by Teixeira in his upcoming bout with Ryan Bader (15-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) could earn him a crack at the belt. “Dana and Joe have confirmed with a strong victory by Glover that he probably gets the winner of the Jon Jones fight,” Zelaznik said. Teixeira and Bader meet in the headlining bout of next month’s UFC Fight Night 28 event, which takes place Sept. 4 at Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Tickets for the UFC’s first FOX Sports 1 card in Brazil, which features a light heavyweight main event between Ryan Bader (15-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) and Glover Teixeira (21-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC), go on sale Friday. UFC Fight Night 28 (formerly UFC on FOX Sports 1 3) takes place Sept. 4 at Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. It will be the UFC’s second visit to the city after first visiting for UFC 147 in 2012. UFC officials recently announced ticket prices for the event will be available starting at 10 a.m. in Belo Horizonte through ticketsforfun.com.br , and will range in price from $75 Brazilian Real ($34 US) to $450 Real ($202 US).
