Dakota Cochrane sent a hometown crowd into jubilance on Friday when he picked up a split decision over Ciro Rodrigues in the LFA 25 main event. The Nebraska-born fighter struggled at points in the fight, but a late rally from Cochrane (30-12) persuaded the judges to give him the nod over Rodrigues (21-7) in the AXS TV-televised welterweight headliner at The Ralston Arena in Omaha. It was a gritty fight throughout the entirety of 15 minutes

The lineup for next month’s return of Victory FC to UFC Fight Pass is complete with the addition of six new fights. Two titles will be on the line at the top of the Victory FC 56 bill. In the main event, two-division champion Robert Emerson (19-11) will put his bantamweight title up for grabs against Raufeon Stots (7-0). And in the co-feature, new welterweight champ Kassius Holdorf (8-3) makes his first title defense when he takes on UFC veteran Yuri Villefort (9-5). But promotion officials recently announced the rest of the lineup for Victory FC 56, which takes place April 14 at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Neb., and streams live on UFC Fight Pass. Onetime “Ultimate Fighter 15” hopeful Dakota Cochrane (27-10) will bring a four-fight winning streak into a welterweight bout against E.J

Victory FC 52 took place at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Neb., and it streamed on UFC Fight Pass. In the headliner, Maki Pitolo (8-2) earned a unanimous-decision victory over welterweight Kassius Holdorf (8-3) to win an interim belt, and in the co-main event, big-show vet Dakota Cochrane (25-10) choked out fellow 170-pounder Jason Witt (7-3) to pick up “Submission of the Night” honors. Victory FC 49 results: Valdir Araujo pounds out Dakota Cochrane in night of finishes

Valdir Araujo and Dakota Cochrane Dakota Cochrane had designs on stopping Valdir Araujo with some fancy stuff, but after one too many spinning attempts, Araujo turned the tide on him. Araujo took advantage of a spinning back fist attempt from Cochrane in the second round, took him to the ground, and eventually pounded him out with a TKO late in the frame of the Victory FC 49 main event. Victory FC 49 took place at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Neb. The card streamed on UFC Fight Pass. Both fighters opened with leg kicks, but it was a flashy jumping knee attempt from Cochrane that got Araujo’s attention. Seconds later, Cochrane tried a kick, then a jumping one – and that one caught Araujo too low.
