Mederos (8-1) extended his winning streak to six when he knocked out Issa Isakov (10-3) to earn a UFC contract Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 66. LAS VEGAS – Lucas Rocha had to battle some early adversity before finishing Davi Bittencourt at Dana White’s Contender Series 66. Rocha (17-1) came from behind to score a highlight reel knockout of Bittencourt (14-4) in their bantamweight bout Tuesday to earn a UFC contract. Before landing the brutal knee knockout, Rocha had his back taken in Round 1 and was battling to fend off Bittencourt’s rear-naked choke attempts.

UFC hopefuls Andre Lima, Rickson Zenidim to battle on Dana White’s Contender Series

Two of Brazil’s top flyweights will fight for the possibility to earn a UFC contract this fall. Andre Lima and Rickson Zenidim will collide in front of the UFC brass Oct. 10 at the final Dana White’s Contender Series event of Season 7. The card takes place at the UFC Apex. Two people with knowledge of the booking recently informed MMA Junkie of the matchup but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement
