Despite still being under contract with the UFC and not being active since July 2021, McGregor repeated at a BKFC Italy news conference Sunday that he plans to fight in the promotion. This time, he named potential names. McGregor was fired up from the start of the press conference as he served as a mediator/hype man for the athletes on stage, promoting the April 26 event at Palazzo Wanny in Florence

Former UFC and Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez headlined the BKFC: KnuckleMania 5 event last weekend in front of a hometown crowd in Philadelphia. ”The Underground King” faced former UFC fighter Jeremy Stephens in a fight that ended with his corner throwing in the towel. The first two rounds of the bout were competitive but things went south for Alvarez in the third. Stephens floored Alvarez twice in the third but Alvarez survived the round. Prior to the start of the third frame, Alvarez’ corner stopped the fight. It turns out they made the right decision.

Eddie Alvarez has revealed his corner was more than justified in stopping his fight with Jeremy Stephens at BKFC: KnuckleMania 5. Stephens was awarded the third-round TKO victory after Alvarez’s corner waved off the fight following the third round of this past Saturday’s main event at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The former UFC and Bellator champion was dropped twice in the bout and tried to keep fighting, but ultimately his team wasn’t having it. The evidence now shows that was the correct decision. Monday, Alvarez shared X-rays of his face revealing a significant fracture across the right side of his jaw. Jeremy Stephens picked up his third win in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship this past Saturday with a TKO victory over former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez . The two headlined the BKFC KnuckleMania 5 fight card at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Stephens scored a pair of knockdowns in the third round and Alvarez’ corner threw in the towel preventing him from coming out for a fourth frame. Following the fight, former two-division UFC champion and co-owner of BKFC Conor McGregor entered the ring and went face-to-face with Stephens. Stephens was part of one of McGregor’s most iconic press conference moments back in 2016. Stephens claimed to be the hardest puncher in the UFC and McGregor famously responded, “Who the f*ck is that guy?” On Saturday, McGregor entered the ring following the fight and uttered the same words, “Who the f*ck is that guy,” McGregor said before challenging Stephens to a bare-knuckle fight.
