Tim Means Less than two weeks after the card was announced, UFC Fight Night 80 already has an 11-fight lineup after the UFC today announced a slew of new fights for the event. UFC Fight Night 80 takes place Dec. 10 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in “Sin City.” The entire card will stream on UFC Fight Pass. The event is the first of three in three straight days for the UFC in its home city, with the TUF 22 Finale on Dec. 11 and UFC 194 on Dec. 12.

Yancy Medeiros Victorious fighters Yancy Medeiros and Heather Jo Clark each face potential six-month layoffs despite picking up wins at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. The Nevada State Athletic Commission recently released a list of medical suspensions stemming from the event, which took place this past Saturday at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Of course, both fighters can each be cleared early by doctors, though Clark can’t return until Feb. 11, at the earliest. Medeiros picked up a thrilling first-round submission win over Joe Proctor in a bout that earned him a “Performance of the Night” bonus

Angela Hill LAS VEGAS – In a meeting of early flameouts on “The Ultimate Fighter 20,” Angela Hill ran roughshod over veteran Emily Kagan , battering her over three rounds to secure an easy decision win. Kagan (3-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) succeeded early on in taking away Hill’s weapons in muay Thai, but as the fight progressed, Hill (2-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) was able to keep the fight where she wanted and take control of momentum. The women’s strawweight bout opened the preliminary card of today’s The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale event at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of additional prelims and a main card on FOX Sports 1. The final scores were 30-26 twice and 30-27, reflecting Hill’s complete dominance in the cage, particularly in the later rounds, when she landed dozens of knees that badly hurt Kagan and opened a cut over her right eye that bled generously.

With the semifinal pairings set, next week’s finale for Season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter” has six new women’s strawweight matchups set. The bulk of the fighters booked for the card were cast members on the show who didn’t reach the semifinals. Felice Herrig (9-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is set to meet Lisa Ellis (15-8 MMA, 0-0 UFC); Heather Jo Clark (6-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) takes on Bec Rawlings (5-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC); Tecia Torres (4-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) faces Angela Magana (11-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC); Joanne Calderwood (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) fights Seo Hee Ham (15-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC); Aisling Daly (14-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC) meets Alex Chambers (4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC); and Angela Hill (1-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) takes on Emily Kagan (3-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC). All 12 of those fighters will be making their official UFC debuts. Of that group, only Ham was not a cast member on the show. Her involvement owes to the fact Justine Kish, the No. 9 seed on the show, had to bow out with a torn ACL during filming.

LAS VEGAS — The UFC in July begins filming the first all-female season of its stalwart reality franchise, The Ultimate Fighter, and several notables will vie not only for a contract with the mixed martial arts leader, but a title. “It’s a really cool season,” UFC President Dana White told USA TODAY Sports. “These girls are going to be so fired up, and the girls are way meaner than the men are.” Half of the 16 spots on the show’s cast for The Ultimate Fighter 20, however, were up for grabs Monday after three announced participants were instead signed to contracts, UFC officials told USA TODAY Sports. “One didn’t speak English, one couldn’t make the weight, and one was too young,” White said in Las Vegas, where 32 women’s strawweights converged on a local casino hoping to secure one of eight open spots. “Not only do we need eight more girls, but we also need two alternates,” White added. “What makes this season different than any we’ve ever done is they’ll be fighting for a title, so we have to be fair and make sure they have enough experience
