Teammate, former teammate, or whatever you want to call him, Diego Sanchez does not appear to be a Georges St-Pierre fan… or a Rory MacDonald fan, for that matter. Sanchez is pulling for Johny Hendricks and Jake Ellenberger to win their respective match-ups. “I am 110% pulling for @JohnyHendricks to beat GSP and @EllenbergerMMA to smash rory #USA,” Sanchez tweeted on Friday. St-Pierre is set to defend his welterweight title against Hendricks at UFC 167 in November in Las Vegas. GSP’s TriStar Gym teammate, Rory MacDonald, squares off with Ellenberger at next week’s UFC on Fox 8 in Seattle.

They were teammates on Rashad Evans ‘ squad on “The Ultimate Fighter 10,” but Brendan Schaub (9-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Matt Mitrione (6-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) are now acting a lot more like what they’re going to be next month: opponents. The two recently got in a round of sparring on Twitter, with Mitrione making fun of Schaub’s recent appearances in grappling and MMA, and Schaub bringing Mitrione’s wife into the mix. “@BrendanSchaub looks like Adam Sandler f—ed Corky from ‘Life Goes On,’ Mitrione wrote. “I might look like adam Sandler/corkey mix your wife when we did appearances together sure seemed to like it,” Schaub fired back . “How’s that going by the way?” The heavyweights will answer for their words next month on the FX-televised preliminary card of UFC on FOX 8, which takes place July 27 at KeyArena in Seattle. While Silva is a light heavyweight, he said he’ll take the fight – at 205 pounds. “He must be sad because I left American Top Team, but if he wants to fight me he has to come down to 205,” Thiago Silva said at Saturday night’s UFC on FUEL TV 10 post-fight press conference in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. “That’s it.” The two Silvas were once teammates at American Top Team, though Thiago has since moved on to the Blackzilians.
