Though it’s been 10 months since his last fight, UFC welterweight Gabe Green doesn’t look at the past year with bad feelings. Rather than be upset about his situation, Green has remained optimistic, and is now finally set to return to action for the first time since July of last year.

LAS VEGAS – Gabe Green expects to be Ian Garry ’s toughest test to date. Green (11-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) faces undefeated rising star Garry (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in a welterweight bout on Saturday’s UFC 276 prelims at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Since dropping his UFC debut on short notice to Daniel Rodriguez, Green has picked up a decision win over Phil Rowe and a finish of Yohan Lainesse. Garry is not short of confidence, but Green thinks he’s likely underestimating him. “I mean, he’s in the UFC,” Green told reporters Wednesday at UFC 276 media day

Ian Garry will face his sternest test in the UFC in July. Garry takes on Gabe Green at UFC 276 on July 2 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight was confirmed on Saturday’s UFC 275 broadcast after an initial report by Green’s management, Iridium Sports Agency. Unbeaten in his professional MMA career, Garry (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has won his first two octagon bouts.

LAS VEGAS – After picking up his second straight win at UFC on ESPN 35, Gabe Green wants to rematch an old foe. Green (11-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) came from behind to finish Yohan Lainesse this past Saturday at the UFC Apex and hopes to get the opportunity to avenge a loss from his promotional debut. In May 2020, Green faced Daniel Rodriguez in a short-notice fight in which he found some success on the feet, but ultimately was outstruck over the course of three rounds.
