It’s been Fox Sports 1 week when it comes to UFC fight announcements. Following up on several earlier announcements, UFC officials on Wednesday added Diego Brandao vs. Daniel Pineda to the UFC on Fox Sports 1 #1: Rua vs. Sonnen fight card in Boston. Brandao (17-8) made his way to the Octagon via the fourteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. He slipped up in his follow-up performance, losing to Darren Elkins at UFC 146, but recovered with back-to-back victories over Joey Gambino and Pablo Garza at UFC 153 and UFC on Fuel TV 9, respectively.

Additions to the UFC’s debut on FOX Sports 1 continue to come at a fast and furious pace. A featherweight bout between Diego Brandao (17-8 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and Daniel Pineda (18-9 MMA, 3-2 UFC) is the latest fight to be added to UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 in Boston. UFC officials announced the fight on Wednesday night. UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 takes place Aug. 17 at TD Garden in Boston and will be the promotion’s debut on the new cable network, which launches the same day. The main card, which will be five hours in length , airs on FOX Sports 1. Brandao, the Season 14 featherweight winner of “The Ultimate Fighter,” has rebounded from the lone loss of his UFC career, a unanimous decision setback to Darren Elkins a little more than a year ago, with back-to-back wins over Joey Gambino and Pablo Garza
