Dana White signs two fighters to UFC after scouting Fury FC 53 in Denver

Two more fighters have been added to the UFC roster after promotion president Dana White scouted a regional show Sunday in Denver. Fury FC 53 took place at Western National Complex and featured rising prospects from around the United States. White, along with friends Din Thomas and Matt Serra, were in attendance for the filming of an upcoming episode of “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight.” Dallas-area middleweight Joseph Holmes (7-1) and Glory MMA & Fitness standout Trey Ogden (15-4) impressed the UFC boss enough to receive contract offers, according to an Instagram post from their manager Jason House, CVO of Iridium Sports Agency. Holmes, 26, was offered another opportunity to fight in front of White an after he won on Dana White’s Contender Series in October.

Liz Carmouche vs. DeAnna Bennett, Campos vs. Huerta among Bellator 246 additions

The second half of Bellator’s shows on two consecutive nights has some new additions, including the promotional debut of a former UFC title challenger. Liz Carmouche (13-7 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) will fight in Bellator for the first time when she takes on DeAnna Bennett (10-6-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a women’s flyweight bout on the Bellator 246 main card. Plus, Derek Campos (20-10 MMA, 9-8 BMMA) is set to take on Roger Huerta (24-12-1 MMA, 1-5 BMMA) in a lightweight bout. On the prelims, Ty Gwerder (4-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) fights George Tokkos (4-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) at middleweight and Davion Franklin (1-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) meets Ras Hylton (6-4 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) in a heavyweight bout

The lineup for Bellator’s June return to London continues to build with a trio of new fights for the prelims. Mike Shipman (13-1 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) will put his 13-fight winning streak on the line against Costello van Steenis (11-1 MMA, 3-0 BMMA). And John Redmond (7-13 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) takes on George Tokkos (4-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA). Both fights are at middleweight. And in a bantamweight bout, Nathan Greyson (6-3 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) meets Frans Mlambo (6-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA). Promotion officials announced the new bouts today

Bellator continues to bolster its roster with the addition of 10 more signings from Europe. The roster moves come a little more than three weeks after the announcement of two dozen other signings. Among the signings is UFC veteran Galore Bafondo , who made waves 13 months ago with a violent slam knockout of Charlie Ward at UFC Fight Night 113 in his UFC debut. But he was let go after a loss this past December to Chad Laprise. “Growing the Bellator organization throughout the U.K. and Ireland has been a top priority for us for quite some time,” said Bellator President Scott Coker stated earlier this summer when the promotion added 24 British and Irish fighters.
