Abdoul Abdouraguimov | Jose Peñuela, PFL PFL will land in France on Sept. 26 with Abdoul Abdouraguimov headlining a card against a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent in Nantes, the company announced Monday. That will mark PFL’s first trip to France since a cancelled event in Paris on May 26, the second time the promotion was forced to pull the plug on a show in the French capital.

Former UFC fighter Godofredo Pepey will return to action for the first time in almost three years. Pepey (14-6-1) faces Abdoul Abdouraguimov (13-1) for the welterweight title in the main event of ARES FC 3, which takes place Feb. 3 at the Dome de Paris in France promotion officials today announced

It was about halfway through the opening round of their UFC on FOX 27 prelim bout when Mirsad Bektic backed Godofredo Pepey up against the fence and let fly with a straight right hand to the body. The punch initially just knocked Pepey backward, but a moment later the full extent of the pain registered in his brain and all over his face. The message it conveyed might best be summed up as: We’re done here.

The card for UFC on FOX 27 appears to be just about set. The UFC on Wednesday announced via CharlotteObserver.com three fights that have been added to the Jan. 27 event at Spectrum Center in Charlotte. In a pair of featherweight bouts, Dennis Bermudez takes on Andre Fili , and Mirsad Bektic faces Godofredo Pepey . The other bout added is at welterweight, with Niko Price facing George Sullivan

The result was a clear unanimous decision win for Burgos (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), who brought the crowd to its feet in a toe-to-toe battle with the wild but resilient Pepey (13-5 MMA, 5-5 UFC). The featherweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC on FOX 25 event at NYCB LIVE at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of the rest of the card on FOX.
