Guilherme Viana wanted to get his first Bellator win so badly, he was willing to punch through a wall to get it. That’s figuratively speaking, but Viana said when he was fighting Houston Alexander at Bellator 146 this past November, it also felt pretty literal. “Whenever I hit Houston Alexander, it felt like I was hitting a concrete wall,” Viana told MMAjunkie. After two rounds against the hard-hitting veteran, Viana got a doctor’s stoppage TKO victory. It gave him his first Bellator win and a rebound from a loss to Francis Carmont in his promotional debut in March 2015

Houston Alexander (16-12-1 MMA, 1-2-1 BMMA) and Guilherme Viana (6-2 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) will battle in a light heavyweight contest that fleshes out the main card. Bellator 146 takes place Nov. 20 at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla.

Francis Carmont Bellator MMA’s March return to Oklahoma has a pair of new bouts ticketed for the main card, including the promotional debut of former UFC title contender Francis Carmont . Carmont (22-10 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) will take on Guilherme Viana (6-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a light heavyweight bout, while Dakota Cochrane (18-7 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) is set to meet Ryan Couture (9-3 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) at lightweight. A promotion source today confirmed the new bouts to MMAjunkie. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the bookings.
