The world’s biggest bareknuckle boxing promotion is back with one of its most high-profile events to date. BKFC 56 takes place Saturday at Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah as two pairs of former UFC contenders collide and three title fights take place. Friday, all of the fighters from Saturday’s card will come face-to-face one final time ahead of their bouts. In the main event, Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez chuck knuckles to determine the “King of Violence.” Also on the card, Jimmie Rivera battles Jeremy Stephens in a matchup between two former UFC staples.

The BKFC 56 fight-week news conference took place Thursday in American Fork, Utah and afterward, 12 fighters from six main-card bouts came face to face. In the main event, former UFC standouts Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez meet in a middleweight bout for the “King of Violence” title . And in the co-main event, champ Christine Ferea defends her women’s flyweight title in a rematch with Bec Rawlings . Two other title fights are on the main card: featherweight champ Kai Stewart vs. Howard Davis ; and Arnold Adams vs. Mick Terrill for the vacant heavyweight title.

The event features seven UFC veterans on the main card and three title fights. Expected to participate in the press conference are main eventers, former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez and Mike Perry . Also, at the press conference will be co-main heavyweights Ben Rothwell and Todd Duffee , along with BKFC president David Feldman.

Following his last fight in the UFC in February of 2021, it’s been over a year of waiting to return to fighting for featherweight Jimmie Rivera. Now after a long wait, Rivera shifts gears and enters a new combat sports venue as he drops the gloves and prepares for his upcoming bare-knuckle boxing debut. “It’s been a rough year with getting fights, but I’ve been training, getting ready and really focusing on my boxing,” Rivera told MMAWeekly.com. “It’s nice to just be able to focus on one art form rather than having to focus on all the things you have to do when you train for MMA.” For Rivera, making the move to fighting without gloves comes with a need for added precision as missing the mark could have bigger risk of injury. “You have to be more accurate with your shots,” said Rivera. “Especially in bare knuckle where there’s no cushion, no forgiveness if you mess up a shot
