Igor Pokrajac vs. Ed Herman slated for UFC 209 in Sin City

The lineup for March’s UFC 209 event continues to take shape. Officials today announced a light-heavyweight bout between Igor Pokrajac (28-13 MMA, 4-8 UFC) and Ed Herman (23-12 MMA, 10-8 UFC). UFC 209 takes place March 4 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized. Pokrajac, a 38-year-old Croatian fighter, is currently in his second UFC stint. His first lasted more than five years and ended with a four-fight losing skid – one that also included a no-contest that was an overturned loss.

The veteran UFC light heavyweight, who makes his return to the promotion Sunday at UFC Fight Night 86, said he went back to the drawing board after his release from the promotion in 2014. On the international circuit, he subsequently cranked out three wins, so he is obviously doing something right (or simply got the right matchups). “I changed my team,” Pokrajac (25-12 MMA, 4-7 UFC) told MMAjunkie.

Dollaway took a kick from ex-champ Lyoto Machida in this past Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 58 headliner could bench him for six months. Dollaway needs doctor clearance of his right rib, or he is suspended for six months, according to medical suspensions released today by the Comissao Atletica Brasileira de MMA (CABMMA) for the event at Jose Correa Arena in Barueri, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
