The Fight Master: Bellator MMA final between Joe Riggs and Mike Bronzoulis slated for Saturday’s Bellator 98 has been postponed. Bellator officials on Tuesday confirmed an initial report about the postponement by Sports Illustrated. Riggs recently told SI.com that he suffered an orbital bone fracture and detached retina during training about three weeks ago that forced him into surgery. He has already been cleared to begin training again.

The UFC’s September trip to Brazil continues to grow at a rapid pace, this time with the addition of a welterweight bout. Keith Wisniewski (28-14-1 MMA, 0-3 UFC) will return after more than 16 months on the sideline to take on Marcelo Guimares (8-1-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at UFC on FOX Sports 1 3. Sources close to the fighting booking confirmed the matchup to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) following an initial report from UOL Esporte . UFC officials also made the fight official Saturday afternoon. UFC on FOX Sports 1 3 takes place Sept. 4 at Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Two middleweights-turned-welterweights who are on the rebound will soon clash when Hector Lombard (32-4-1 MMA, 1-2 UFC) meets Nate Marquardt (32-12-2 MMA, 10-5 UFC) at UFC 166. MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) confirmed the planned matchup with sources close to the event following an initial report from MMAFighting.com . UFC officials haven’t made a formal announcement. Norma Rueda Center (2-0) has replaced injured Sarah Schneider (6-6) and now meets fellow strawweight Joanne Calderwood (6-0) at next month’s Invicta FC 6 event. Invicta FC officials recently confirmed an initial report from MMARising.com . Invicta FC 6 takes place July 13 at Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. The event airs via regular pay-per-view in North America, and international viewers can watch via an online PPV stream. The event is priced at $14.95. This is the second opponent switch for Calderwood, who initially was slated to fight Claudia Gadelha before the switch to Schneider. Douglas Lima injured, tourney final with Ben Saunders off Bellator 97 card

A rib injury has forced Douglas Lima (24-5 MMA, 6-1 BFC) out of a rematch and Season 8 tournament final with Ben Saunders (16-5-2 MMA, 7-2 BFC). Lima confirmed the injury via Twitter following an initial report from Sherdog.com . The bout was supposed to be part of Bellator 97, which takes place July 31 at Santa Ana Center in Albuquerque, N.M. They were expected to be part of the Spike TV-televised main card following prelims on Spike.com. It’s not clear if Saunders will remain on the card. This is the second postponement of the tournament final, which was pushed to the upcoming “Summer Series” after Lima broke his hand in a semifinal-round win over Bryan Baker earlier this year

Takeya Mizugaki (17-7-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) and Erik Perez (13-4 MMA, 3-0 UFC) are set to meet at the event, which takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
