Josh Fremd is the first man to advance to the finals of the LFA middleweight tournament. Fremd (7-1) scored a brutal first-round knockout of Bruno Oliveira (7-3) in Friday’s LFA 98 headliner, solidifying his spot in the championship round of the four-man grand prix. LFA 98 took place at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan.

Dana White’s Contender Series 21 took place Tuesday in Las Vegas, and we’re grading the winners from the five-fight card, which streamed on ESPN+ from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. With a refreshing but digestible format that has had the MMA fanbase responding, this series has shown to have legs in multiple ways while serving as a crockpot for contenders whom the UFC matchmakers can use for future events. So, with that trend in mind, I will once again be taking a look at the winning fighters regardless of whether or not they won a UFC contract, grading their performances in regards to their probability of returning to a UFC stage. * * * * * Billy Quarantillo Billy Quarantillo Weight class : Featherweight Result : Billy Quarantillo def. The bout served as the featured matchup of Tuesday’s Dana White’s Contender Series 21, which streamed live on ESPN+ from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Kuramagomedov opened with a wild kick to start the bout, but Williams pressed forward and looked to throw hands in reply. Both men moved well around the cage and fired strikes from in tight. Kuramagomedov was the more active fighter, but Williams was the one who made his strikes count, briefly wobbling his opponent with power punches.
