Filed under: News , Videos Daniel Gallemore is a heavyweight champion after dominating Abe Wagner at Victory FC 50. Gallemore (5-3) scored a guillotine choke submission moments after dropping Wagner (10-8), bringing the title bout to an end at the 1:37 mark of Round 1. The event took place at Kansas Expo Center in Topeka, Kan., and streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. In addition to Gallemore’s heavyweight title win, Alexandre Pimentel (15-1) captured the featherweight belt with a fourth-round armbar submission of Jarred Mercado (14-4). The submission was the ninth of Pimentel’s career and the Brazilian is now riding a three-fight winning streak.

Jarred Mercado, Luke Sanders meet for bantamweight title in RFA 20 main event

Resurrection Fighting Alliance will return next month with its vacant bantamweight title on the line. Jarred Mercado (12-1) and Luke Sanders (8-0) will headline RFA 20 on Nov. 7, with the winner walking away with the promotion’s 135-pound belt. Promotion officials recently announced the card and main event. In the welterweight co-feature, Josh Cavan (9-4) takes on Benjamin Smith (10-2), and the main card also will feature a welterweight bout between Bojan Velickovic (9-2) and “TUF 17″ veteran Gilbert Smith (9-3). Friday’s ‘RFA 16: Copeland vs. Jorgensen’ card finalized with new co-headliner

Friday’s RFA 16 event, which features a heavyweight headliner that will likely put the winner on the UFC’s radar, has a new co-headliner and a finalized lineup. RFA takes place at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo., and the main card airs on AXS TV. As previously announced, undefeated heavyweight prospects Josh Copeland (8-0) and Jan Jorgensen (7-0) meet in the main event, and the victor will be awarded RFA’s vacant heavyweight title. In 15 combined wins, they’ve tallied 12 career stoppages.

RFA 16 has a new co-main event later this month, and the winner will fight for the bantamweight title. Joe Murphy (7-1) has been forced out of his fight against Jarred Mercado (11-1), and Jake Klemme (10-2) now will step into the No. 1 contenders fight at 135 pounds. RFA officials recently announced the change to the fight card. RFA 16 is set for July 25 at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo., near Denver. In the headlining bout, Josh Copeland meets Jan Jorgensen (6-0) for the promotion’s inaugural heavyweight belt.
