Westin Wilson ’s grappling prowess was on full display against Jeka Saragih at UFC on ESPN 58 , and it resulted in his hand being raised within two minutes. Saragih (14-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) charged at his opponent in the opening moments of the featherweight bout at the UFC Apex, but that led to his demise. Wilson (17-9 MMA, 1-2 UFC) tangled him up on the mat and locked in a triangle choke, which he transitioned into a triangle-armbar combination after a slam attempt and got the tap at the 1:49 mark of Round 1. It was just the 12th finish of its kind in UFC history with a triangle armbar, according to the UFC on ESPN 58 broadcast

Saragih (14-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) got the eighth opening-round finish of his career when he pounced on Lucas Alexander (8-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and caught him with a big punch that led to a knockdown and fight-ending blows in the featherweight contest, which took place at the UFC Apex. SINGAPORE – Jeka Saragih came into “Road to UFC” with a heavy heart and delivered. Saragih (12-2) advanced in the lightweight tournament when he scored a spinning backfist knockout of Pawan Maan (7-3-1) on Thursday in Episode 2 of “Road to UFC.” Having two family members die just two weeks ago, Saragih had a lot more to fight for. “That’s the way I express myself because lately I’m grieving for the loss of my father and my grandma,” Saragih told MMA Junkie and other reporters at the Road to UFC post-fight news conference. “So I’m just trying to express myself in the ring.” He continued, “It (went) according to my game plan because I am a striker, and I won by striking, but he did punch me really hard, and that punch was hard.” “Road to UFC,” Episode 2 took place at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. Jeka Saragih produced a spectacular highlight on Episode 2 of “Road to UFC” when he halted Pawan Maan with a spinning backfist. Saragih (12-2) advanced to in the lightweight tournament on Thursday at Singapore Indoor Stadium when he closed the show with a perfect rotation that floored Maan (7-3-1) and forced the referee to wave off the contest at the 2:24 mark of Round 2.
