An injury has knocked Estevan Payan from his fight with Charles Oliveira, and Jeremy Larsen, whose fight with Matt Grice was pulled after Grice’s car accident, will step in in his teammate’s place.

A featherweight bout between Matt Grice and Jeremy Larsen has been added to the UFC 166 fight card slated for Oct. 19 in Houston. UFC officials announced the bout on Wednesday. Grice (15-5) is coming off of a loss to Dennis Bermudez at UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche in February. Although that was a close bout that saw Grice lose a split decision, he is sorely in need of a victory

Matt Grice (15-5 MMA, 2-6 UFC) and Jeremy Larsen (8-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) are the latest additions to this fall’s UFC 166 event. UFC officials on Wednesday night announced the bout, which sees Larsen drop to 145 pounds for the first time. It’s not yet known whether the contest will serve on the event’s pay-per-view main card or preliminary cards, which air on FOX Sports 1 and stream on Facebook. UFC 166 takes place Oct. 19 at Houston’s Toyota Center. Larsen is in dire need of a win inside the octagon following back-to-back losses in a pair of UFC fights. On the regional scene, he went 8-2 in a five-year span before appearing on “The Ultimate Fighter 15.” Grice, meanwhile, also is looking to rebound after a valiant effort against Dennis Bermudez at UFC 157, which resulted in a split-decision loss and well-deserved “Fight of the Night” bonus. That setback followed a decision over Leonard Garcia at UFC on FX 3
