Bellator’s busy November kicked off on Thursday with Bellator 251, which went down at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with a main card that aired on CBS Sports Network following prelims on MMA Junkie. The main event saw Corey Anderson (14-4 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) make a successful debut with the promotion after a 14-fight UFC stint. He dominated Melvin Manhoef (32-15-1 MMA, 4-4 BMMA) for a second-round TKO , joining the title picture in the light heavyweight division. Julia Budd is back to her winning ways. In her first fight since losing the women’s featherweight chamionship, Budd was mostly dominant as she earned a unanimous decision win over a game Jessy Miele on Friday at Bellator 244. After 15 minutes, the judges scored it 30-26, 30-27 and 30-27 for Budd (14-3 MMA, 8-1 BMMA), who expressed how important it was for her to get back on track after losing the title to Cris Cyborg in January

Bellator’s “Fightsphere” opens for business once again at Mohegan Sun as the promotion showcases two of its biggest stars at Bellator 244. The main event sees two-division champion Ryan Bader put his light heavyweight title on the line against Russia’s Vadim Nemkov , while former long-reigning women’s featherweight champion Julia Budd returns to action against Jessy Miele looking to bounce back after her loss to Cris Cyborg earlier this year. Also set for action is undefeated welterweight contender Yaroslav Amosov , who has been tipped as one of Bellator’s stars of the future. He will look to position himself for a shot at the 170-pound title by claiming victory against Mark Lemminger .

Among those weighing in were light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Ryan Bader (27-5 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) and Vadim Nemkov (12-2 MMA, 4-0 BMMA), who fight for Bader’s 205-pound title in the main event. Both headliners made weight under the championship allowance. The entire card with the exception of co-main event participant Jessy Miele made weight.
