ABU DHABI – Joanna Calderwood intends to deliver a complete performance against Andrea Lee at UFC 242, one that puts her back in women’s flyweight title contention. After taking what she felt was an unjust loss to Katlyn Chookagian in her previous outing, Calderwood (13-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) promises to pick up the pace even more in her fight with Lee (11-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC). “Just be more busy and even though some shots don’t land, in my last fight the judges seen that as a good thing,” Calderwood said Wednesday at UFC 242 open workouts. “Just stay more busy and enjoy myself.” Calderwood said she likes the style matchup with Lee because she’s an “exciting fighter” who will mix it up with her in the octagon.

UFC strawweight contender Michelle Waterson will join the broadcast team for this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 113 event, MMAjunkie today confirmed with FOX Sports officials. Waterson joins UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and former title challenger Kenny Florian as analysts on the FOX Sports desk in California alongside host Karyn Bryant. Meanwhile, Dan Hardy and John Gooden will call the fights cageside from SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. Heidi Androl interviews fighters backstage, while Bruce Buffer will take his familiar position in the octagon. Torres says she was supposed to challenge for Esparza’s 115-pound title under the Invicta FC banner, but when the strawweight division was added to the UFC, both fighters were brought onto “TUF.” Esparza says she didn’t think she would face Torres unless it was the finals because they started on opposite sides of the bracket. The matchup became even less realistic when Torres suffered a loss in the first round, but when she was brought back due to an injury to Justine Kish and placed in Esparza’s bracket, the collision occurred.
