Lucas Brennan is cruising thus far in his MMA career, and he’ll look to continue his streak of success with a win at Bellator 282 . In a featherweight bout on the preliminary card, Brennan (6-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) will take on Johnny Soto (4-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA). The event takes place June 24 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with the main card airing on Showtime after prelims on MMA Junkie.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – MMA Junkie was on scene at Thursday’s Bellator 262 fighter weigh-ins where all fighters made weight – but not without a little drama. Women’s flyweight champion Juliana Velasquez (11-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) and challenger Denise Kielholtz (6-2 MMA, 6-1 BMMA) both hit their marks in the initial allotted hour – as did the rest of the card with the exception of two preliminary card fighters, who needed an additional hour.

A pair of heavyweight fights are among the latest additions to next month’s Bellator 262 event. Matt Mitrione (13-8 MMA, 4-3 BMMA) is set to take on Tyrell Fortune (10-1 MMA, 10-1 BMMA) in a rebooking after Mitrione withdrew from their original matchup at Bellator 255 in April. Plus, Marcelo Golm (8-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) will meet former title challenger Linton Vassell (21-8 MMA, 9-5 BMMA) on the main card.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – MMA Junkie was on scene at Thursday’s official Bellator 258 fighter weigh-ins. The weigh-ins took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The same venue hosts Friday’s event, which has a main card on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie. Among those who weighed in were bantamweight champion Juan Archuleta (25-2 MMA, 7-1 BMMA), who puts his title on the line against challenger Sergio Pettis (20-5 MMA, 2-0 BMMA). Plus, Jose Augusto (7-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) meets Anthony Johnson (22-6 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in the light heavyweight tournament.

The bantamweight theme continues for Bellator 258. Like the first three additions to the May 7 card, the fourth is also a fight between two of the promotion’s 135-pound notables. Henry Corrales and Keith Lee are set to square off at the event, which takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Johnny Eblen vs. Daniel Madrid (18-6 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) at middleweight, and Weber Almeida (4-0 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) vs. Johnny Soto (3-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at featherweight, also have been added to the preliminary card.
