British promotion Cage Warriors has confirmed a further four fights for their return to London on Nov. 22. Cage Warriors 111 returns to its regular London home of indigo at The O2 with a stacked card featuring a title-fight triple-header, with reigning champions James Webb, Mads Burnell and Modestas Bukauskas set to put their middleweight, featherweight and light heavyweight titles on the line respectively

LONDON – It wasn’t pretty, but Britain’s Phil De Fries made good on his promise to defend his KSW heavyweight title on home soil at KSW 50, grinding out a split-decision victory after five grueling rounds at the SSE Arena, Wembley. De Fries and Brazilian challenger Luis Henrique spent the large majority of the opening three rounds seemingly locked together in an endless clinch as they battled for grappling supremacy in a largely uneventful first half of the contest. With both men clearly fatigued from three rounds of grapple-heavy action, the two heavyweights turned to their striking in the fourth, but neither man’s strikes carried the power needed to make the breakthrough. It meant the bout went to the fifth and final round as De Fries, looking marginally the fresher man, pushed the pace in the final five minutes as the contest went all the way to the final bell. And when the judges’ scores were tallied, it was De Fries who ran out the victor via split decision as the Brit secured his third successive title defense. KSW 50: Roberto Soldic gets new opponent for Wembley showcase

LONDON – Croatian wrecking machine Roberto Soldic will no longer put his KSW welterweight title on the line at KSW 50 on September 14, but he will remain on the fight card for the Polish promotion’s landmark show. Soldic (16-3 MMA, 4-1 KSW) was set to face Patrik Kincl at the SSE Arena, Wembley in a welterweight title defense this weekend. But when the Czech challenger was forced to withdraw from the bout due to injury, KSW officials moved quickly to preserve Soldic’s place on the card.
