Following the first loss of his career last November, featherweight up-and-comer Jordan “All Day” Rinaldi decided to make a change. Following the suggestion of his promotion, Rinaldi transplanted himself across the country from his native North Carolina to Las Vegas, and hasn’t looked back. “The RFA invited me to one of their other fighters’ places to train to see if I’d like it,” said Rinaldi. “I actually fought the guy before; his name is Mark Dickman.

Like a majority of MMA fighters, Jordan Rinaldi has the goal of one day stepping foot in the octagon under the UFC banner. And while countless athletes around the world are vying for one of the UFC’s limited roster spots, Rinaldi knows that fighting for RFA has him one step ahead of everyone else. Rinaldi (6-1) nearly had his path to the UFC set in 2012 when he selected for “The Ultimate Fighter 15,” where his was an elimination-round win away from earning a spot on the cast. Unfortunately, Joe Proctor quickly submitted him and, and Rinaldi never had the chance to truly showcase his talents.

Former title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga (15-7 MMA, 10-6 UFC) will meet Shawn Jordan (15-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) when the promotion saddles up for UFC 166, which takes place Oct. 19 at Toyota Center in Houston. Cage Warriors signs four U.K.-based fighters to exclusive deals

Cage Warriors has expanded its roster with the signing of four prospects in three different divisions. U.K. fighters Brian Moore (6-1), Jordan Desborough (5-2), Dave Graham (3-1) and Mario Saeed (4-1) all have signed exclusive five-fight deals with the promotion. Cage Warriors officials recently announced the deals for the four fighters, though they have not yet been added to any upcoming fight cards.

Shawn Jordan recently fought and defeated a friend, so if the UFC asks wants him to do it again – this time against fellow UFC 161 winner Stipe Miocic – he said he’s game. Jordan (15-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who knocked out buddy and fellow heavyweight Pat Barry (8-6 MMA, 5-6 UFC) at the June 15 event, said he was able to set aside the friendship for one night. It resulted in a $50,000 “Knockout of the Night” award after just 59 seconds of work.
