Three-time UFC veteran Damon Jackson (10-1-1) returned to the regional scene with a victory, but 21-year-old prospect Levi Mowles (4-1) made it an incredibly difficult affair. The featherweight contest served as the main event of Friday’s Legacy FC 61 event, which took place at The Bomb Factory in Dallas and aired live on AXS TV. Mowles came out looking to strike, moving in and out of range with strikes against a taller opponent. Jackson answered with a barrage of kicks to all levels.

The action-packed, stoppage-filled fight card took place at Grand Casino Hinckley in Hinckley, Minn., and the main card aired on AXS TV. In the heavyweight headliner, Brian Heden (29-15) avenged a past loss, broke his opponent’s nose, and ultimately sent Tyler East (15-6) into retirement. The TKO victory rearranged East’s profile, which saw his nose punched from one direction to another.

Legacy FC 60 results: Brian Heden gets revenge, blasts Tyler East into retirement

More than six years ago, Tyler East spent 15 minutes beating up Brian Heden . On Friday, Heden got his revenge. Heden (29-15) had to weather an early storm from East (15-6) in their heavyweight main event at Legacy FC 60, but then blasted him along the fence to get a standing TKO stoppage at the 1:51 mark of the first round. Prior to the fight, East said he was going to retire, win or lose, in part due to the frustration he hadn’t been called by the UFC yet. After the fight, East said he didn’t care about the fight at all and didn’t train for it, but just wanted to do his best. His best, apparently, was getting blasted by an old foe
