Filed under: News , UFC Gina Carano I promise you two things with this week’s Twitter Mailbag: 1) With the most dominant women’s champion in MMA history set to defend her title at UFC 184 on Saturday night, we will not mention the names of any bikini models who have absolutely nothing to do with that, and 2) We will, for the first time in weeks, refuse to get bogged down in questions about drug tests and anti-doping measures. Instead, we’ll discuss Ronda Rousey ’s reign of terror, Gina Carano ’s helping hand, Holly Holm ’s future prospects, and even dabble in the finer points of employment law. Will Bellator’s attempt to rebook the silliest fight that never was merit at least a GIF response? Probably, yeah.

Neer told BloodyElbow.com he relented after more messages and invited Smith to his gym. He provided shapshots of Smith’s messages. Edwards (8-2) made his way to the Octagon as a replacement fighter on the thirteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. He didn’t progress far on the reality show, but he has remained with the UFC for the past two years, alternating between wins and losses in his four bouts for the promotion. He enters the fight with Thatch having submitted Josh Neer at UFC on FX 5 last October. Edwards was supposed to have faced Gunnar Nelson in February, but pulled out of the fight due to injury. Thatch (9-1) makes his long awaited UFC debut after having racked up eight consecutive victories. He most recently defeated Mike Rhodes in the RFA 7 main event in March
