UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre met with media during the UFC World Tour 2013 stop in Las Vegas on Monday. As he readies for his upcoming bout with Johny Hendricks at UFC 167, GSP talked about Saturday’s UFC on Fox 8 co-main event between his teammate and friend Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger. MacDonald walked away with the victory against “The Juggernaut,” but questions lingered as to whether it warranted a future title shot. In this video shot by MMAWeekly staff writer Ryan McKinnell, St-Pierre also addresses the mounting pressure of a potential match-up between the two friends and training partners. ‘Rampage’ Jackson vs. Roy Jones Jr. boxing bout targeted for year-end PPV

Viacom is expected to announce plans to go head-to-head with pay-per-view juggernaut Zuffa LLC and its UFC 168 offering at next week’s Bellator 97 event on Spike TV. An unveiling of Bellator fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s plans with the promotion will likely include a pay-per-view boxing match with former multi-division boxing champ Roy Jones Jr., multiple sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). The fight is expected to take place at the end of the year, though a date and weight class for the bout could not immediately be confirmed. It’s also unclear how the event will be branded given Bellator and parent company Viacom’s focus on MMA. “We’ve been talking to Roy and his people over a potential ‘Rampage’ vs. Roy fight for over seven months,” a representative from Jackson’s longtime team, Wolfslair MMA, told MMAjunkie.com. The rep requested anonymity due to the ongoing negotiations related to the matchup

Dana White Explodes on ESPN Over Accusations that Anderson Silva Fight was Fixed (video)

UFC president Dana White was a guest on Wednesday’s edition of Highly Questionable on ESPN. Straight away, the show’s hosts hit White with questions about accusations that Anderson Silva threw the fight against Chris Weidman at UFC 162 on July 6. White has been adamant about shooting down such speculation, and ESPN juggernaut or not, he didn’t shy away from speaking his mind on Highly Questionable. “Anderson Silva has broke every record in UFC history. He’s the pound-for-pound best of all time. Why would you throw a fight?!” White exploded in response to questions that the fight was fixed.
