Brennan Ward has his second fight booked since his return from hiatus. At Bellator 282 , Ward (15-6 MMA, 11-6 BMMA) will once again fight in front of his home state crowd when he takes on former Victory FC welterweight champion and LFA headliner Kassius Kayne (12-7 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a welterweight bout. The event takes place June 24 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. with the main card on Showtime after prelims on MMA Junkie. Two people with knowledge of the booking recently informed MMA Junkie of the matchup but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Brandon Royval, Jerome Rivera rematch for flyweight title in LFA 78 main event

The vacant flyweight title will be on the line when LFA returns to Colorado in October. Brandon Royval (9-4) is set to take on Jerome Rivera (8-2) in a rematch for the 125-pound belt in the LFA 78 main event, the promotion recently announced. The pair first fought at LFA 39 in May 2018, but Rivera suffered a freak injury just 40 seconds into the fight for a TKO win for Royval. The LFA 78 co-main event will be a welterweight bout between Anthony Adams (8-1) and Kassius Kayne (13-6).

Raufeon Stots and Ryan Lilley set to headline LFA 48 in Nebraska for homecoming of sorts

LFA is headed to Nebraska next month for a return to its roots. LFA 48, which takes place Sept. 7 at the Viaero Center in Kearney, Nebraska, will mark the promotion’s official debut in the city where RFA started back in December 2011. RFA would later merge with Legacy FC under the LFA banner. A bantamweight bout between Raufeon Stots (9-1) and Ryan Lilley (9-3) will headline the event. The main card airs live on AXS TV.

A welterweight battle will be featured tonight at LFA 42, one that almost didn’t happen. Derrick Krantz (21-10) and Kassius Kayne (12-4) headline the AXS TV-televised event at Branson Convention Center in Branson, Mo. Krantz is returning to action for the first time since last September, when he dropped a split decision to James Nakashima at LFA 23 to lose his title belt.

Welterweights will be featured in LFA’s return to the Show-Me State. Officials today announced 170-pounders Derrick Krantz (21-10) and Kassius Kayne (12-4) are slated to headline LFA 42. The card takes place June 8 at Branson Convention Center in Branson, Mo., and the main card airs on AXS TV. Related LFA 39 results: Yeah, arms aren't supposed to bend and flap like that Krantz is a former LFA and Legacy FC welterweight titleholder who lost his belt with a split-decision defeat to James Nakashima in September. It snapped the 30-year-old Texan’s three-fight winning streak and came after an overall 6-1 run that included five stoppages. He now meets Klay, a 31-year-old Nebraskan and former Victory FC champion.
